ms + stuff - Uncategorized

hello again, old friends

Well… it’s been a while, y’all.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve heard a little about what took me away from here for so long. I’m grateful, and excited to say, life has slowed down a bit for me.

I plan to share more about my extended absence in the future. For now, I want to focus on the present.

As far as my MS goes, no news is always good news. I got an MRI last summer, and there was nothing new on them – actually the opposite. My last one showed that an old lesion in my thoracic spine is no longer there.

I’m not on Rebif anymore. I started on Aubagio in August of 2024. I’ll definitely make a post about this in the future, but I do feel better with the switch. Fingers crossed I get no news at my next MRI. I’m still loosely following the guidelines in Overcoming MS.

I’m still focused on blending Eastern & Western medicine to support my body. Acupuncture, nutrition, exercise, spending time in nature, gardening, chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, and meditation remain priorities for me. Thankfully, I have a bit more time to focus on all of this now.

I’ve stepped back from working outside the home for now. A privilege I’ll never take for granted. I loved working after I got my degree in social work, but the timing wasn’t right for what I had going on at home.

I’m currently focused on building a business selling mostly antiques and vintage collectibles. If you’re interested, you can check out my Ebay store here and my Etsy shop here.

Luckily, I didn’t have to start from scratch on this venture. I picked up a lot when my grandparents started on ebay in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Obviously, a lot has changed since then, but I’m learning as I go, and it’s working out so far!

More importantly though, in the short time I’ve been working from home, my body already feels different. I have more energy, I’m less irritable, and my nervous system isn’t constantly on alert. I’m not forcing my body to adapt to my schedule. I’m changing my routine to fit my body’s needs.

I guess I don’t need to explain why I’m focusing more on revitalizing the blog. I finally have the energy and time to do so. I’ve got a few new posts on the horizon, as well as revamping old posts, on my to do list. All in good time.

I’m excited to continue sharing this journey with you all. If you want, you can follow my Instagram for little peeks into my daily stumbles with ms.

See you soon!
