This Friday is no longer brought to you by a flare!
I’m feeling so much better. I woke up yesterday morning without that usual ache, the weather pattern around here is finally calming down, and I’m 99% sure I’m officially on the mend.
After last weeks er visit, I’m grateful I got to recover at home, my way, this time. IU a l w a y s takes care of me, make no mistake. This time, I just needed to do it my way. Thankfully, I was allowed to do just that, and I’m reaping the benefits. Slowly, but surely.
This morning, while getting ready for a short day at a great job, I was filled with overwhelming gratitude. Even though I was on the phone with United Healthcare, trying to figure out why my usual prescriptions were suddenly denied. I ended up having to chat with my neuro and pharmacy, for the same issue. Just another ms’ey day, right?
I’m filled with gratitude because even in the most annoying moments, life always finds ways to remind me how good it is.
I might have dealt with insurance this morning, but now I’m finishing up another awesome day at my school job. I get to go work for an awesome boss, and design a promotional poster for a great cause. I’ve been doing that all week for Stumble Pup + the MS Walk, so it makes sense I do it for a living too, right?
This flare has taught me I do have to make myself slow down a little more though. I’m going so fast, trying to keep up with everything I’ve got going on that I’m missing some rose smelling in the meantime. I’ve got some tough decisions to make this weekend, but I’m confident I know what to do….here’s to finding the courage to do it.
Tomorrow is our local Walk MS event – the buttons have been designed, and the business cards have been printed. Check them out!
I’m a little nervous, because big social events are not typically my thing. But, I’m so excited to meet + connect with others who face the same struggle I do. My family really came together to support me, and I’ve got quite the little team going.
Send good vibes the weather holds out + it’s not too windy or cold to enjoy ourselves tomorrow! I hope to have an update on Sunday all about our big weekend!
