10 Bible Verses for Hope & Healing

These 10 bible verses for hope and healing have a lot to do with this post. In it, I talked about my two new jobs.

10 bible verses for healing

In one, I am a Program Director for a small social services agency. The other, I am Parish Administrator for an Episcopal Church.

These positions are funded by religious organizations, which drew me to them.

My spiritual journey has been a very windy, difficult journey for me. We didn’t attend church with any type of regularity in my younger years.

As a teenager, I kept asking people to go to church with me. At the same time,I was not an ‘easy’ child, so I received some strange looks when I said that. I considered it my full time job to have fun, and partied a lot. At any rate, I have always been interested in attending church. Sometimes my grandma went, sometimes a friend of mine. The sense of hope, belonging, and community really resonated with me.

In these positions, I’ve really been able to blossom into a new way of believing, and a faith that makes sense to me.

Research has proven time and again how healthy it is to engage in some type of religious or spiritual community. For instance, this article details many benefits on not just mental health, but physical as well. This one goes into more of the physical benefits. This one goes over more of the mental health benefits.

I found all of that in the Episcopal church, and it aligns with my morals and values. I’m not here to evangelize, or try to convert people into Episcopalians. The only point here is to share what’s worked for me.

Below you’ll see some of my favorite scriptures.

I can’t begin to describe the comfort, peace, and joy I’m finding in my new spiritual journey. I can’t elaborate enough on the benefits of finding a like-minded community. Those benefits are physical, mental, and obviously, spiritual. Whatever religious or spiritual path you find yourself on, do yourself a favor, and find a community to be a part of that believes the same.
